A stay in the Rehabilitation Unit at BRMC includes receiving personalized care combined with the use of appropriate rehabilitation services. In an effort to maximize each patient’s abilities, the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team sets obtainable goals and works to resolve any uncertainties the patient may have about the rehabilitation process.

This caring team consists of physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech pathologists, and occupational therapists. They understand the questions, fears, and frustrations faced by patients and their families when confronted with a sudden disability. In addition, the physical medicine department offers patients after-discharge support and outpatient care.
