Brownwood Regional gets high definition endoscopy
Special to the Bulletin High-definition television, or HDTV, is making its way from the living room to the hospital room.
Brownwood Regional Medical Center is among the first hospitals in Central Texas to introduce the technology as part of a new endoscope platform to help doctors diagnose diseases in the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. for both men and women combined, medical officials said.
