Brownwood Regional Medical Center Receives 2009 Employer Award of Excellence.

Brownwood, Texas – November 25, 2009

Brownwood Regional Medical Center (BRMC) has been selected by The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) for the 2009 Employer Award of Excellence. Every year, each Local Workforce Development Board identifies an outstanding employer from its local area for an award of excellence. This year, Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas will recognize BRMC, at the TWC Annual Workforce Conference held at the Gaylord Texan Hotel.

Brownwood Regional Medical Center has implemented internal and external programs that are unique to a community based hospital that impact operations of the hospital and the community at large. Some of the indicators TWC considered when choosing their award winner included employee turnover, a partnership with Angelo State working with nurses to bridge from LVN to RN, a partnership with Brownwood Independent School District to assist in implementing health career training for their students and an internal incentives for current BRMC employees to further their education with tuition reimbursement.
