Creating a Cancer Care Team
Brownwood Regional Medical Center's Walker Caner Center will be presenting a workshop for Cancer Patients and their family caregivers. Because living with cancer is serious business this workshop addresses physical and emotional challenges such as nutrition, attitude, symptom management, maintaining your energy levels, and communication. Patient and care givers will learn how to work together to use this information and live life to the fullest. Diabetic Education Series
Physicians and licensed hospital staff members speak to diabetics and their family members on a variety of topics including nutrition & diet, medication & social services, exercise, foot care & sick days, and preventing long term complications. The educational series is held in the Meeting Room of the Outpatient Center.

Parkinson's Disease-Central Texas Chapter Support Group
This group is intended to meet the educational and support needs of individuals suffering from Parkinson's Disease. Information about the symptoms and treatment of Parkinson's Disease is available. The group meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. at Oak Ridge Manor. For more information, call 325-784-5297.

HOT Ostomy Support Group
Big Country Chapter Moderator Joan Countess addresses the group on a variety of ostomy related issues. They meet the 3rd Sunday of each month from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Classroom 2 of the Outpatient Center. For more information, call Joan Countess at 325-643-5820.

Chronic Pain Support Group – “Living the Best Life”
If you’re suffering from chronic pain please join Linda Levesque, facilitator and member of the National Association of Neuropathy for this wonderful community support group provided in association with the Neuropathy Association. Space for meetings will be limited to 6 – 8 people and be held on the third Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. and the third Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Location of the meeting will be the Walker Cancer Center Library at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
